London-based Angie A has released her cover of Vera Lynn’s ‘We’ll Meet Again’ which aims to raise funds for charity as well as to unite people during our global pandemic.

Angie A is a professional vocalist who also owns a vocal teaching group called ‘Keep Calm and Sing’, where she manages and teaches her students to correct their breathing during singing.

Her new release is a cover of the late, great Vera Lynn’s ‘We’ll Meet Again’ – released during the second World War. Angie was inspired to make this cover after the Queen’s speech about the covid-induced lockdown, in which she said: “We will see our families again, we will meet again…”.

Angie released this song with the aim of raising money for her chosen charities as well as to remind people to reflect on the things we do have and, most importantly, to chill out and take a well-earned rest period over the festive holidays.

Angie’s appearance on Britain’s Got Talent – and her subsequent high praises from Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan – is evidence enough of her fabulous singing voice. She has modernised a very old song and has managed to combine two musical genres that are from differing ends of the spectrum.

Angie adds, “ I was also curious to see how the original song lyrics would fit on a completely different style of music that was produced by Alann Ulises”.
