Vietnam-based artist and producer Kiey has been making music since 2015, but his song Piccadilly, first surfacing a year ago, is a heartfelt ode to England’s capital.
Having spent years studying in London, Kiey pens this atmospheric and sombre ballad that is able to evoke emotions from all listeners.
Although he now lives thousands of miles away from Piccadilly, the track is a solemn tribute to the city of London, encapsulating Kiey’s desires to return to the hustle and bustle of the British city.
Though much of Vietnam’s airwaves consist of traditional ballads and older music, Kiey bases his music on the likes of Sia and Lana Del Rey, with many also comparing his sound to Troye Sivan.
His album, Night to Myself, continues this melancholic, electronic sound, and is winning praise from people across the industry.
A new video to accompany the track is to be released this Halloween, with the potential for the song to reach audiences that still haven’t heard it. On top of this, Kiey is hoping to release a new album in early 2021, with fresh tracks for fans and new listeners alike.
An artist who truly creates everything about his music, Kiey is one of the most exciting prospects in the industry, and Piccadilly is a perfect introduction to him.
