Canadian funk and soul legends Crack of Dawn have released their new single Tiempo, featuring American singer and actress Melba Moore.

The song – an emotional duet – was written about needing time after a break up in order to either truly move on from a relationship or to reignite it. Written years ago, the song has now been released with the contribution of Melba Moore’s vocals to better illustrate this.

The first female solo pop artist to perform at New York City’s Metropolitan Opera House and at the Olympia in Paris, Moore is no stranger to success, hitting the U.S. Top 10 eleven times in the past 40 years for both albums and singles.

As well as releasing successes in A Little Bit More and Love The One I’m With (A Lot of Love), she has also starred in her own sitcom Melba.

Crack of Dawn were the first Black Canadian band to sign to a major label before breaking up and working on other projects. When they reunited in 2012, work began on a new album with both original members and fresh faces. Their latest work in Tiempo is a beautifully crafted single that is sure to tug at heart strings.
