Stephen Wicks is preparing the release of his fifth single, “The Doomsday Clock (85 Seconds to Midnight).” The song continues his move from business life into music with a track centred on one of humanity’s most unsettling symbols.

The Doomsday Clock has long served as a warning about global risk. Wicks uses its 2026 setting of 85 seconds to midnight as the inspiration for a song about the closeness of potential disaster.

The single addresses several of the defining fears of the modern era. Climate change, nuclear weapons, artificial intelligence and geopolitical instability all inform the song’s apocalyptic tone.

Produced by George Shilling, the recording includes lead guitar by Stefan Hauk. An official music video will accompany the single, reinforcing its central image of time running out.
