The Baluji Music Foundation announces the start of its new research project ‘Blind To The Facts 2022’. The research study will be focusing on identifying why employment rates of blind and partially sighted people in music are particularly low and how the barriers can be addressed.
Led by Dr Claire Castle of Bravo Victor, the ‘Blind To The Facts 2022’ research project is looking for participants. To be a participant, the research project ‘Blind To The Facts 2022’ is looking for blind or partially sighted people working in the music industry in the UK – particular a blind or partially sighted musician, music employer or music journalist based in London.
The ‘Blind To The Facts 2022’ research project is currently not looking for blind and partially sighted people working in all areas of the music industry and those currently looking for work in the industry. Dr Claire Castle of Bravo Victor is also interested to hear from music industry businesses and employers whether or not they have experience working with blind and partially sighted people. This includes, but is not limited to, promoters, producers, record labels, venues, music technology companies, music managers and agencies, broadcasters and the media, music education providers, music critics.
