Pure passion and soul from JJ Leone’s new single “Reload”. It’s a modern RnB soul driven song that’s simply and delicately put together by a real musician. JJ Leone is completely self-taught on guitar which is refreshing to hear and makes this song sound unique to him. It’s rare nowadays to see RnB soulful artists play an instrument skilfully, most things now are entirely computer based, which for me makes a song lose its feel and mood. Vocals and lyrics are on the minimalistic side but that’s all that’s needed and the droning earthy synths and passionate guitar add all the flavour and mood you need. You can see J.J. live at Septemberfest, alongside Razorlight, on September 22nd.
