Jak Chantler, Guitarist, song-writer and performer, is getting funky with his new direction as he releases ‘Shell suit’, feel good tune that possesses a strong beat, with harmonious melodies and jazz styled guitar.
Jak Chantler has strayed away from his previous music style, which used to be a heavier Alternative-Grunge sound. Jak’s previous band ‘Kingskin‘ had success, being awarded ‘Best Unsigned Band’.
The debut single ‘Shell Suit’ is a post pop, soulful and almost feel good anthem. Its soft and soothing synthesizers create a base layer with the beat, to then be neatly placed together with Jak’s emotional guitar playing. This track is reminiscent to a Jack Garrett styled piece, but has a melodic and classic synth feel.
‘Shell Suit’ also has a remix, christened ‘Flevans Remix’, which gives you a off-beat hip-hop take on the song.
